Wheel Palletizing

Challenge
The wheel being produced needed to be palletized for shipment, but the wheels were too heavy to safely palletize by hand. The customer's budget did not allow for an automated palletizing system, but the production rates were too high for handling by crane.

Solution
A servo lift assist provided the speed needed to match production rates and an investment level that matched the budget.

• A custom-designed wheel gripper allowed rapid pickup and set-down of the wheel
• Powered conveyor is integrated with the lift to move pallets to and way from the operator
