Wheel Inspection
Another customer asks Kinemetrix to improve their existing equipment. This wheel manufacturer had an inspection system that could not reliably differentiate between all the different wheels that it produced. Some wheel styles were too similar for the system to differentiate.
Solution
Successfully inspecting such a wide variety of parts required the system to have a greater variety of lighting sources. The system was redesigned to allow part movement through an inspection zone with additional light sources. The system controls the camera and lighting for the various inspection routines, providing the agility missing in the original implementation.
