RTV Dispensing with Automatic Part Feed

Challenge
This wheel manufacturer needed high speed production combined with the flexibility to run a high variety of parts. Each different design required a different RTV pattern to be applied to the wheel before cladding. Wheel designs change frequently and the plant needed to be able to produce the current products and be able to adapt quickly to the design changes that come each year.

Solution
An automated infeed and outfeed conveyor keeps the wheels moving quickly through the system. A 6 axis robot holds all the dispensing patterns and can switch on-the-fly between wheel designs.
